WCSB Show 2004.11.17

I thought it went pretty good. It flowed well and the country set in the middle really kept things fresh for me. Thanks for the callers with requests and the guy who started out talking about Wal-Mart, but went on about “why don’t we bomb Russia and China? We bombed Iraq. Why not Russia and China?” You gotta love late night/early morning radio.
Maybe next week I’ll do a jazz set in the show.
What did you think?
The MP3 stream will be HERE when I have it encoded and uploaded to the server.
Background tracks during my blabbing were Sam The Butcher, Lester Bowie, and an Arabic cassette that I can’t tell you anything else about except it had a brown cover with lettering I can’t read.

Great show, honey! The Husker Du-Pixies-Ted Leo trilogy was a nice touch, considering our multi-concert week. I loved the country set, but Dexter still hid under the covers. I used to think it was Pere Ubu that sent him into hiding, but now I’m fairly certain that any form of pre-dawn noise is simply unacceptable. Although he did try to take himself on a walk this morning, so perhaps the country set inspired him to hit the open road.
