WCSB Site Redesign

So, I’ve been working on the redesign of the WCSB web site.
I think it’s going pretty good. I need to get the color scheme down. I want to stick with black and white, but I need some other colors thrown in there for highlighting.
I figured out how to create a calendar dynamically since the last time I posted here. Right now this just pulls the show information from a database and puts it into a table. I haven’t done any “real” formatting of the table yet.
I was talking with Tommy Fox last night about the calendar. WRUW put their spring show listing in a huge ad in The Free Times this week. I pointed out how their listing has each day starting at Midnight. That makes sense to me. The current WCSB calendar starts at 7:00 am (on a Monday). Tommy likes that. I think it’s confusing. When you’re at the bottom of the page you’re not looking at the same day (in a column) as the top.
What do you think? I like the calendar starting on Sunday at midnight. I need feedback.

I’m not sure what I think. The advantage to having the top of the grid start from 7 a.m. is that it’s somewhat aesthetically pleasing. On all but two days, we have shows beginning right at 7 a.m. We don’t have shows that start immediately at midnight most days. So, I can see what 7 a.m. might be better.

If you are going to insist on midnight, though, put the name of whatever show is being continued from the 11 p.m. starting time of the day before at the top of the grid, too, so people don’t have to look back to see the name of the show. Like at the top of the grid for Tuesday, you could put “Billie Club continued” or something like that.

    Is this making sense?

Yeah, what you say makes sense. Take a look now. Does this work better, or should it still be 7 am?

Yes! I think that works! Now convince Tommy of its merits!
