Ah, grad school

Monday, July 30th, 2007

Well, the GMAT is over and I scored as well as I could hope for. Hopefully I don’t have to take it again. The DBA program requires a GMAT score from the last 5 years. We’ll see if I can finish the MBA within 5 years going part time.
If you’re planning on taking the GMAT I recommend the Princeton review guide. The Kaplan guide really isn’t as helpful.

Test anxiety

This Monday I’m taking the GMAT. I’ve put it off for quite awhile, but since I’m now working at CSU and get to take classes for free I’m finally going for it.
I’m not looking forward to the math portion. This summer I took the MBA math for dummies class. The class is actually called OMS 500 or Mathematics for Business. I did this as a preemptive strike. If you score under a certain percentile on the GMAT you have to take the class.  I figured I’d take it before the test so I could to brush up on math, and if I screw up on the GMAT I’ll already have the class done with.
So this weekend I’m doing some last minute reviewing of a couple GMAT guides. Sunday will be a day of rest. I have the radio show and then we may go see the Simpsons movie.

Site update

Out with the old and in with the new!

I’m moving stuff around on the website.  I hope not to lose any of the content, but you never know.

Hopefully it will be easier to navigate and maintain.  I’m going to use Wordpress as the skeleton for the site.  So far it’s pretty easy to manage and customization of the layout isn’t too bad as well.
