General

I make my profession as a software programmer/analyst. That's about all I can tell you. It's not that I work for the government on some top-secret project or anything like that.

There have been a lot of controversial firings involving people posting about their work or even acknowledging the company they work for on their web sites. I need to keep my job so I can keep a roof over my head.

Languages

I program or have programmed using the following languages or markup-languages.

  • C
  • C++
  • Java
  • Visual Basic
  • Python
  • ASP
  • JSP
  • PHP
  • HTML
  • XML
  • XSL
  • JavaScript
  • VB Script
  • MS DOS
  • Perl
  • *nix shell scripting

OS

I currently use OS X on the Mac. I love it! I was a Windows person and got sick of it. I ran a Linux box for a while. I went to the first and third Linux Worlds in NYC. I then decided I needed an OS with a more friendly desktop.

I now preach the gospel of the Mac everywhere now. I see what all the art school kids were talking about. It has the power of *nix underneath a beautiful face. It just works!

Games

I used to love to play Half Life and Counter Strike. The only down side of owning a Mac is missing out on games like that. I've gotten over it though. The PS2 does the job just fine.
